I am pleased to announce the retirement of Bill Bielmyer, Sr., Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, effective as of December 31, 2012. As most of you know, Bill started his career with ComNet back in 1985 as a part of the Comstock group of companies. During his tenure with ComNet, Bill has seen many changes in our ever-changing and challenging industry and has risen to each occasion with professionalism and dedication. He has served as a mentor to many and the longevity of his staff in the Jacksonville office is a true testament to his devotion to the company and to the employees who work for and with him. His contributions over the years have been invaluable and immeasurable and have been a defining factor in the success that ComNet enjoys today. Although we will all miss Bill, he has definitely earned the opportunity to enjoy more time with his family and grandchildren, and maybe swing a golf club every now and then.
It also gives me great pleasure in announcing that Bill Bielmyer, Jr. will take over the management of the Jacksonville office effective as of January 1, 2013. Bill, Jr. has been with ComNet in the Jacksonville office since 1992 and has had the benefit of Sr.’s experience and counsel over the years. Bill Jr.’s role within ComNet has continually expanded, and he has met each challenge with exceptional professionalism and competence. Bill Jr. will have big shoes to fill, but he has demonstrated time and again that he has the ability to rise to the challenge. We are very fortunate to have someone who can build on the foundation that has been established in Jacksonville. Unfortunately, Bill Jr. will now have decidedly less time to swing a golf club.
I am pleased to announce one more change to ComNet’s Senior Management team. Effective as of January 1, 2013, Peter Gouveia will be promoted to the position of Vice President – Business Development. This will fill the vacancy created by Bill Bielmyer, Jr.’s assumption of responsibility for ComNet’s operations out of the Jacksonville Office.
Peter’s primary goal in his new role will be to expand our sales team with a specific focus on national end user relationships. In addition, Pete will support the Regional Vice Presidents where needed in order to help them meet their respective business objectives.
Since joining ComNet in 2001, Peter has become an integral part of ComNet’s success through his professionalism and industry knowledge. These talents will be critical to ComNet as we look to grow in the years ahead.
I know you join me in extending our heartiest thanks and congratulations to Bill, Sr., Bill, Jr. and Peter.
President, ComNet Communications
